LA MIRADA--- The Biola Men's Tennis team expands their roster to nine with the addition of Alessandro Cadena and Adrian Solorzano to their 2023 squad.
"I'm very excited about the newcomers," stated head coach David Goodman. "They bring a competitive attitude and a strong set of skills that will add to our team. I can't wait to see them compete for us for the next few years."
Cadena is a redshirt sophomore transfer from the University of Saint Katherine. Cadena played two years for the Firebirds where he went undefeated as a freshman.
Cadena is originally from Ecuador and he graduated from Tomas Moro High School in 2020.
"We are really lucky to have Alessandro on our team," Goodman said. "He's such a quality guy and a solid tennis player. He really cares about the sport and brings his best everyday in order to improve. He will make an impact for us this year."
Solorzano is Biola's final addition who originally came from Michoacan, but attended high school in California. Solorzano graduated from Weil College Preparatory School in 2022 where he played four years of varsity tennis.
Goodman stated, "Adrian is joining us as a freshman this year. He has quite a bit of variety to his game and good touch. He has the confidence to win big matches for us this year."
