Box Score TEMPE, Ariz. --- The Eagles opened up the year on Friday, seeing the start of their second season in program history. BU set its sights high at the start of the Arizona State Mini Tournament, taking on Michigan on Friday morning.

The Division 1 foe jumped out to a big lead and held on for a 14-0 loss for Biola. The BU defense kept the Wolverines to two scores in the second and fourth quarters but gave up five in the first and third.

Damaris Kientz started in goal, tallying four saves and one steal in the contest. Ava LoBue and Lizzy Birch also made an impact on defense with a pair of steals.

On the day, the Eagles drew 10 Wolverine exclusions. In each powerplay opportunity the BU squad came up empty, as they were unable to climb back from their deficit.

Biola will return to the pool later on Friday, taking on California Baptist at 1:00 pm PST.
