WSOC Preseason All-PacWest

Penner Picked

Katelyn Penner was picked to the PacWest’s Preseason All-Conference team and the Eagles were selected to finish fifth in the coaches preseason poll.

PACWEST RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif.--- Katelyn Penner led the women's soccer team as their Preseason All-PacWest selection for Fall 2022. 

Penner is a four-year starter and four-time All-PacWest selection from Beaverton, Oregon. Last season Penner anchored the Eagles' midfield and picked up 1,564 minutes of action which was the second most on the team. Penner also scored two goals and assisted two in the 2021 season. One of her goals was the game-winner in the Eagles' 1-0 victory over Cal State LA.

Meanwhile, the conference coaches predicted the Eagles to repeat their 2021 fifth place finish, giving them 84 points. Above Biola was first place Point Loma with 120 points, second place Hawai'i Hilo (113 points), third place Concordia (102 points), and fourth place Azusa Pacific (99 points).

WSOC Preseason Poll

Biola kicks off the 2022 season away on Thursday, August 24 against Cal State Monterey Bay at 7 p.m. The Eagles face the Otters at Cardinale Stadium where there will be no pets allowed. For more game day information check out the women's soccer schedule.
