LA MIRADA --- One year after finishing second in the PacWest, the Eagles have reloaded and will look to continue their success on the court. Five newcomers will be joining the BU squad for the upcoming 2022 season, completing a team of 16 student-athletes. 
 
BU put together a season with 20 wins in 2021, thanks to outstanding production from three First Team All-PacWest award-winners. One all-conference selection will return along with 11 total student-athletes from last year's team.
 
The five newcomers will supplement the great roster, adding depth at each position. The list includes a pair of attackers, two defensive specialists and a setter. The group features five California natives, including one as close as Buena Park. Anna Aubele and Katie Cook are coming from NCAA Division I schools Lipscomb and Grand Canyon, respectively.
 
2022 Recruits:
 
Anna Aubele
Coach Seltzer: Anna is a fantastic addition to our team. She is an offensive weapon and a gamer, and her drive to win will be a great example for our program. While she might be the kindest human being off the court (besides Madison Beebe), I would not want to be on the other side of the net as her.
 
Julia Peet
Coach Seltzer: Julia is an incoming freshman that is everything a coach could want their athlete to be. She's coachable, never gives anything but her absolute best, and cares for her teammates in every possible way.
 
Katie Cook
Coach Seltzer: Katie brings an elite arm and a locked in mentality to our team this year. She's a very calm and steady presence on the court, and will put a lot of points up on the scoreboard. 
 
Bethany Bellfi
Coach Seltzer: Beth brings fantastic athletic ability and ball control to the team, and also a great back row attack if it's needed. She's someone her teammates can trust to get the ball up and has a smile on her face while doing it.
 
Bri Bellfi
Coach Seltzer: Bri, like her sister, has great ball control and an intense drive to improve. She can cover a huge percentage of the court and extend rallies with her quickness and ability to read the game.
