RICHMOND, VA–The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) awarded Biola University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams with Scholar All-America honors.

The Eagles were two of 731 teams selected from 441 institutions based on their combined Spring 2022 grade point averages (GPAs). BU's men averaged a 3.37 GPA, which was the 15th-highest in Division II and BU's women put together a 3.65 GPA, the 10th-highest in Division II.

The CSCAA's Executive Director gave Biola this special shoutout, "Coach Nate Harding understands the values of training the complete student-athlete and that is evident by the team's success in the classroom."

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams also received individual Scholar All-American honors from the CSCAA for Grace Kling, Anna Haaksma, Liza Parahnevich, Jackson Black, and Gabe Weber.

Kling led the women's side with a First Team Scholar All-American nod and was followed by Haaksma and Parahnevich who were recognized with Second Team honors. Black and Weber represented the men as Second Team selections.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
