INDIANAPOLIS --- Biola earned a No. 3 spot in the NCAA DII West Regional Championships, as announced on Tuesday. The Eagles will travel to Azusa Pacific to face the PacWest Champs in the first round on Tuesday, May 10.

Biola put together its best campaign in 2022, posting a 18-8 overall record under the leadership of head coach David Goodman. Biola's Head Coach of the Year guided his men's squad to a fifth-place finish at the PacWest Tournament and consistent rankings in the ITA National Poll.

The group collected two First-Team All-PacWest selections in Sebastian Herrera and Alexei Prokopchuk. The duo carried the load in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, with a combined 31 wins. Prokopchuk led the squad with 21 singles wins in 2022.

Doubles play features a pair of All-PacWest duos. Second-Team All-PacWest Alexei Prokopchuk and Antonio Rosales Varona lead the way in the No. 1 spot and Third-Team All-PacWest Sebastian Herrera and Carlos Solorzano impress in the No. 2 spot.

The Eagles battled through two close matchups against Azusa Pacific in the regular season. At the Biola Tennis Center, the two teams were separated by one point with the six singles matches split between the two squads but the doubles point made the difference in a win for the Cougars. APU also won the contest at their place in a 5-2 final margin.

The first round matchup is set for Tuesday, May 10 at 2:30 pm at Azusa Pacific.
