IRVINE, Calif. --- The volleyball season for the Eagles wrapped up on Saturday, culminating in a 17-10 record in 2022. The key cogs in the BU lineup were honored by the conference on Tuesday, as Anna Aubele, Madison Beebe, and Abby Brewster were each named All-PacWest Second Team.

As a team, BU volleyball offered some special moments in the 2022 campaign. BU netted eight sweeps, including a stretch of three-straight from October 6-15. 

A pair of reverse sweeps against Azusa Pacific highlighted the season, as the Eagles triumphed in the cornerstone cup twice. 

The offensive maestro was Brewster, who saw her first season as the full time setter. In her fourth season on the floor, Brewster led the PacWest in total assists at 976 and assists per set at 9.57.

She never took a match off, competing in all 27 contests for BU, while consistently contributing. Brewster played her way to the PacWest Player of the Week honor on September 13.

Aubele joined the Eagles in 2022 and made an immediate impact on the attack. The sophomore transfer from Lipscomb led the way for Biola with 346 kills and 21 matches with double-digit kills. Aubele finished the season ranked fourth in the conference for kills and fifth in kills per set.

The service line was another attack point for Aubele who tacked on 41 aces. The mark paced the BU squad and ranked fifth in the PacWest.

Aubele also saw the court in all 27 matches and logged six double-doubles. She was named PacWest Player of the Week on August 29.

Beebe was an incumbent on the All-PacWest Team, earning a spot last year. The senior outside hitter was fantastic in her last season, coasting to 237 kills and a 2.63 kills per set mark. 

The back row felt Beebe's presence, as the BU veteran tallied 152 digs to bolster the defense. Beebe recorded four double-doubles in 2022, including one in the season finale with 13 kills and 13 digs.

Biola capped off 2022 with 17 wins and a 14-6 PacWest record to finish fourth in conference play.
