Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Billi Derleth, Assistant Sports Information Director

Highly Offensive

The men’s soccer team showcased a highly offensive performance in their 6-0 win over Chaminade.

LA MIRADA--- The highly offensive Biola Men's Soccer Team scored six goals and 30 shots in their dominant win over the visiting Chaminade Silverswords.

In the first 15 minutes of action, the Eagles found the net three times. In the first minute, Theo Le Calve got the scoring started with Biola's first goal. Kristian Colaci and Mayrhonn Serefio were awarded assists.

Colaci, the ninth-best goal scorer in Division II, netted his thirteenth goal of the season in the 10th minute with an assist by Moritz Riegel.

Three minutes later Biola scored again thanks to Ethan Hardin. Hardin received a good ball from Serfio who recorded this second assist of the night.

After the break, BU was first on the scoreboard once again. Serefio, firing on all cylinders, knocked in his first goal of the season with assists from Hardin and Samuel Skartnes

BU would score two more times before the conclusion of the match. Two more Eagles also received their first goals of the season including Cade Anderson and Jakob Schnitzler

Overall, a great night for the Eagles who accomplished some goals they were working on.

Head coach Joey O'Keefe elaborated, "Something we have been emphasizing recently is we gotta keep clean sheets, meaning we cannot allow goals to happen on our half. Another thing that stood out for me is six goals by six different people. Three guys got their first goals today."

JD Gunn made two saves in the night, successfully recording his fifth shutout of the season.

Biola tied a previous school record set earlier in the season against Fresno Pacific. Their six goals scored tonight matches the six they scored against the Sunbirds on September 29 which was a new team single season match record for the post-NCAA DII era.

Next up for the Eagles is Hawai'i Pacific .Biola takes on the Sharks on Monday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. Their matchup against HPU will be the men's senior night.
