IRVINE, Calif. --- The Biola Boys boast a promising team that is looking to make a splash in the upcoming 2022 campaign. In preparation for the season, the PacWest received votes from the coaches across the conference to rank the nine teams and present the Preseason All-PacWest Team featuring 15 athletes.

With the announcement, the Eagles gathered acclaim from the conference and placed third in the preseason poll. The BU squad pulled in 57 points in the poll to corral the top-three spot.

The southern California teams dominated the poll with Azusa Pacific and Concordia landing at number one and two with 81 and 67 points, respectively. Point Loma, the fourth SoCal team, took fourth in the poll to complete the SoCal sweep. Last season, the SoCal pod beat up on each other with BU battling APU, CUI or PLNU 24 times in its 33-game 2021 campaign.

Through the 33 contests in 2021, Biola finished with an overall record of 14-19. The team saw 14 players graduate or transfer during the offseason but they are excited for the incoming talent. A group of nine transfers and five freshmen will have an immediate impact the diamond for BU, as they look to thrive in 2022.

APU led the way in the All-PacWest Team, placing five athletes on the list. Fresno Pacific came in with the next highest with three total.

Biola will kick off its 2022 slate with an exhibition on the road at Occidental on Saturday at 11:00 am.
