IRVINE, Calif. --- Anna Boyer was perfect last week in goal, earning the first PacWest Defender of the Week award of the 2021 season.

The sophomore keeper started the 2021 campaign on fire, rejecting seven shots from the Stanislaus State attack. The visitors could not find a way to the back of the net, as Boyer tallied her first-career clean sheet.

Boyer earned the win on Thursday last week, improving her career record to 2-0. Sarah Freed tacked on the lone score of the match to complete the win for Boyer and the Eagles. The victory was an important one, coming against the Warriors who had earned a spot in the NCAA DII West Regionals in 2019.

BU will be back in action on Saturday with a road contest at CSU San Marcos at 2:00 pm.
