ANCHORAGE, Ak. —- Biola Volleyball suffered its second loss of the season to the University of Indianapolis as the Eagles fell 3-1.
The Eagles took the first set of the match 25-20, but would lose the next three sets 25-20, 25-17, 25-16 giving the Greyhounds their first win of the season.
Biola outperformed UIndy at the net, recording 9 blocks to the Greyhounds 6. However, the Greyhounds were able to outmatch the Eagles in kills (59-42), assists (56-41), and digs (76-64).
Madison Beebe continued her torrid run as the outside hitter recorded her second double-double of the season with 15 kills and 14 digs.
Emily Smith was tough on the service as the Idaho native secured three of five aces for the Eagles.
Reagan Tjepkema led the team in blocks with four while
Vanessa Garcia and
Abby Brewster each recorded two blocks.
Sami Hover joined Beebe as the only other Eagle with double-digit digs. The libero logged 18 digs in the four set match.
With the loss, Biola splits it's games in Alaska and carries a 2-2 record. The Eagles are back in action on September 9, as they open up the first of four games in Seattle, Washington.
