PORTERVILLE, Calif. --- There is no doubt who will bring the offense for the Eagles in the 2021-22 season, as Paulina Cemo hops in the pool for BU. The incoming freshman will be a part of the inaugural Biola women's water polo team.

Head coach Sarah Orozco is pumped to add a southpaw attacker to the squad, "Paulina is another unique presence that will be added to our team. She will bring work ethic and unique left-handed attacking abilities."

Cemo was a star in the pool for the Harmony Magnet Academy for the swimming and the water polo squads.

The dual-sport standout impressed quickly, earning the team captain distinction for the water polo team for three years. Cemo paired her leadership acumen with offensive prowess in the pool. Cemo also earned team MVP honors for those same three years to go along with two all-league awards.

The Porterville, California native was also high-achieving in her swimming career at Harmony. Once again, Cemo was given the rank of team captain for multiple years, while also being tabbed as the team MVP all four years.

A well-rounded talent will be a welcomed addition to an already promising team. "Paulina's academic standing is already an outstanding presence coming to Biola and I am excited to see her continue to grow academically, spiritually, and physically to surprise our opponents on that 4-5 offensive attacking side," added Orozco. Cemo's success 

in the classroom led to four years on the academic honor roll to go along with a Citizenship Award. Cemo also made an impact with her leadership skills as the French Club President. While at Biola, Paulina plans to major in psychology and aspires to become an attorney.
