LA MIRADA, Calif. ---- A full strength schedule is in place for the Biola Eagles for the first time since 2019, setting the stage for an impressive year from the BU women's soccer squad.

The 2021 slate features three preseason matches followed by eight non-conference competitions and 10 PacWest matchups. 

Play starts on August 21 with a scrimmage at Westmont and two more preseason contests, including a home-opening exhibition against Claremont McKenna (Aug. 28).

Countable matches begin on September 2, as Biola hosts Stanislaus State (Sept. 2) and
Chico State (Sept. 6) in back-to-back matches at Al Barbour Field.

The non-conference slate includes a northern road trip to Western Washington in Bellingham, Washington and Simon Fraser in British Columbia, Canada. This will be the second meeting between BU and Simon Fraser, as the two teams tied in 2005 at a neutral site.

PacWest play starts with their final match in September, as the Eagles host Academy of Art on September 30.

October changes the tone with a five-match road trip, beginning with a pair of California contests at Point Loma and Fresno Pacific. The final part of the road stretch will commence in Hawaii with three matches at Chaminade, Hawaii Pacific and Hawaii Hilo from October 16 through 21.

The season comes to a close with a crucial four-match homestand. All four contests feature PacWest components, including Concordia (Oct. 28), Holy Names (Nov. 4), Dominican (Nov. 6) and Azusa Pacific (Nov. 13).

Solid conference play could set the Eagles up for a chance to reach the NCAA Division II Regional competitions. NCAA postseason first round contests are slated for November 18, as Biola looks to take advantage of its second year of NCAA postseason eligibility.
