AUSTIN, Texas --- Once again, Sami Hover received an accolade for her accomplishments on and off the court as the College Sports Information Directors of America tabbed Hover as a 2020-21 Academic All-American.

21 student-athletes across all volleyball squads within the NCAA Division II were selected to the distinguished academic all-american list and were divided between three teams. The athletes were recognized based on their career credentials on the court and their success in the classroom.

Hover represented the perfect CoSIDA Academic All-American, as she earned a second-team honor on Tuesday. The senior notched a 3.99 cumulative grade-point average, while majoring in biblical and theological studies. 

In addition to academic excellence, the Glendale, Arizona native thrived in competitions to earn three All-PacWest nods . Through four seasons, Hover compiled 1,767 digs, 325 assists and 87 aces. The impressive totals led to averages of 0.79 assists and 4.32 digs per set.

Since transitioning into NCAA Division II, Hover is the third Eagle to become a CoSIDA Academic All-American. Hover also became the 50th ever to score the honor for Biola and the seventh within the volleyball program-history.
