Hover Earns CoSIDA Academic District Honors

Sami Hover earns Academic All-District honors for the first time in her career.

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola volleyball libero Sami Hover has been selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District VII First Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

CoSIDA Academic All-District members are recognized as the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Nominees are divided into eight districts for the first round, which is voted on by that district's sports information directors.

The Glendale, Arizona native tallied 154 digs in 34 sets played this season for the Eagles.

Hover will return for one final season in the fall, providing leadership and solid defensive specialist for Head Coach Aaron Seltzer's reigning PacWest SoCal Pod Champs.

The senior finished the 2021 shortened season with 1,767 career digs and will have one final season to close in on 2,000 career digs.

Hover owns an impressive 3.99 grade point average majoring in Biblical & Theological Studies, earns Academic All-District honors for the first time in her career.
