LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola assistant women's basketball coach Ciara Iglehart has been named head coach at Saddleback College after coaching two seasons at Biola. 

"I am very excited for Ciara, and for the women's basketball program at Saddleback College," commented Head Coach Alan Nakamura. "Coach Ciara has a burden to provide a growth and development experience for the student-athletes at that level. She will pour her life into their lives!"

The Saddleback College Hall of Famer will return to her alma mater where she was a two-time All-Orange Empire Conference player as well as second team all-state from 2002-2004. Iglehart also served as the assistant coach at Saddleback for the 2017-2018 season.

Iglehart's main responsibility at BU was development of post players with an emphasis on defense and rebounding. In addition to on court responsibilities, Iglehart was instrumental in connecting with and supporting student-athletes as young women, students and athletes on and off the court. 

Iglehart's impact on the BU women's basketball program will be missed. "Coach C has been amazing at being there for me on and off the court. I can always come to her and she'll give me advice or just offer support," said Madi Chang. "Coach C has made such an impact on me. I am so blessed to say that she's been my coach for two years at Biola and I'm going to miss her so much!"
