Cruz, Kindreich Earn NCBWA Honors

BU Baseball continues to earn postseason honors with the latest NCBWA All-Region Team selections.

2021 NCBWA ALL-WEST REGION TEAMS

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- RobertAnthony Cruz and Larson Kindreich were named to the NCBWA All-Region team as announced on Monday.

Cruz earned first-team all-region honors while Kindreich earned second-team all-region honors.

In 34 games Cruz slashed an astonishing .388/.489/.733 for the Eagles while leading the team in batting average, OPS(1.222), hits (45), runs (29), doubles (7), homeruns (11), RBI (36), walks (23) and stolen bases (8-8).

Cruz saw a majority of his playing time at second base but was utilized as a utility player down the stretch, getting starts in left field and seeing action in right field and at first base.

Kindreich continued to be the ace of the BU pitching staff as he lead BU starters in ERA (2.18) and batting average against (.214) while also leading the team in innings pitched (47), strikeouts (68) and wins (4).

Cruz and Kindreich continue to increase their 2021 MLB Draft prospect stock as the NCBWA honors accompany first-team All-PacWest selections for the duo.
