Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 IRVINE, Calif. --- After taking both games from CUI on Friday, BU could not come through for the series sweep and settled for the split while dropping both games in Irvine today 15-8, 10-5.

In game one, Biola posted two runs in the opening frame. Portaro reached via a single and came around to score on a throwing error by CUI's pitcher, allowing RobertAnthony Cruz to advance all the way to third. After a walk was issued to Gallegos, he proceeded to steal second base as Cruz stole home to give BU a 2-0 lead. The Battle of the Eagles evened out in the bottom of the first as CUI plated two runs of their own.

The big inning bit BU again as CUI forced Beauvais to exit early after allowing three runs to come across in the bottom of the third. Carson Cody entered with one out in the inning and allowed two more runs to score.

CUI's Evan Larson sat BU down in order in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Concordia added a single run in the fourth, a grand slam in the fifth and three more runs in the sixth inning.

In the top of the sixth RobertAnthony Cruz reached on an infield single and scored on a passed ball to bring across the first run for the Eagles since the opening frame. Biola added two more runs in the seventh courtesy of a Jackson Collins home run along with a walk and a couple of singles that scored Tyler White.

Keith Walker managed to hold CUI scoreless in the seventh and eight innings. Biola's bats got going too little too late as Cruz launched a two-run homer over the right field wall, scoring White who reached on an error. Rylan Greenlee drove a ball past the diving right fielder to earn himself a stand up triple. Greenlee would later come around and score on a single by Collins.

In game two, Biola was held scoreless in the first while CUI got one run off Jake Anderson in the bottom of the frame. After walking the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the second, a stolen base and wild pitch advanced the runner to third base. Anderson would get the next batter to fly out to center to end his day on the mound, departing with only one out and responsible for the runner on third. A wild pitch by Connor Butler scored the runner on third, closing the book on Anderson.

Biola scored their first run of the game in the top of the third inning. Connor Kostecka reached via a leadoff walk and Johnny sage executed a perfect sacrifice bunt to put Kostecka in scoring position. After advancing to third on a wild pitch, Brandon Smith grounded out to the second baseman, scoring Kostecka from third.

Kapturasky allowed four runs to come across in the bottom of the third before Calhoon called on AJ Ortiz to get the final two outs of the inning. Biola got one run back in the top of the fourth before surrendering two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Down 9-2 in the top of the fifth, Ryan Gallegos launched his second home run of the year over the left field wall to bring the score to 9-4. Tyler Mead gave BU their first and only scoreless inning of the game, he allowed only one runner to reach and recorded one strikeout.
