IRVINE, Calif. --- Biola Baseball junior Larson Kindreich was named PacWest Pitcher of the Week as announced on Monday.
Kindreich, a product of Central Point, Ore., defeated Concordia on Friday, tying a career-high 15 strikeouts in a 8-1 victory. Kindreich worked six shutout innings, before giving up his lone run in the seventh inning.Â
The lefty allowed just three hits, one walk and one run on 115 pitches for his second quality start of the season. Kindreich's 15-strikeouts match his collegiate best from February 14, 2020 against UC Colorado Springs.Â
For many, Keindreich's stellar performance was not surprising especially for Head Coach
Jeff Calhoon. "I'm proud of him for getting back to work this last weej and haveing an outstanding outing," said Calhoon. "He's showing everyone what he is capable of out there on the mound."
The MLB Draft Prospect will return to the mound on April 30 as the Eagles take on Westmont College for their final series of the regular season.
