LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The PacWest league office announced the All-PacWest Women's Soccer Team on Wednesday, selecting Katelyn Penner and Aubrey Fergeson to the Southern California Team.

Heading into Wednesday, the BU squad boasted a 2-2 record on the season with wins over Concordia and Westmont. Fergeson solidified the defense, helping Biola hold opponents to one goal in each of those two wins. Penner impacted the midfield, playing every minute for the Eagles.

Through three seasons at Biola, Penner grabbed her third-straight All-PacWest postseason award. The junior midfielder offered a strong showing in 2021, despite the shortened season.

The Beaverton, Oregon native dominated in the team's victory against Concordia on February 10. Penner posted a career-high two goals in the contest, offering a relentless attack with four total shots. A pair of goals in the shortened 2021 campaign put Penner on pace for nine goals in a normal 18-match season, which would have doubled her career-high for a season.

Fergeson earned her first career All-PacWest honor on Wednesday, following a standout showing in BU's backline.

The junior defender stepped up in her second season on the pitch for BU. Fergeson compiled 279 minutes on the year, suffocating opposing offenses for a duo of Biola victories.

The Biola women's soccer squad will complete its season next week with a home matchup against Azusa Pacific on Thursday, March 25.
