Madison Beebe nabbed her second PacWest Player of the Week award this season.

November 01, 2021

IRVINE, Calif. --- The PacWest conference office announced the player of the week honors for the action during the final week of October on Monday. A Biola volleyball player scored a weekly honor for the second-straight week, as Madison Beebe was named PacWest Player of the Week. The Mission Viejo, California native scored her second player of the week honor this season, after earning the first weekly honor given out this year.

The outside hitter was unstoppable through a perfect 3-0 week for the Eagles. The trio of Hawaii teams trudged through Chase Gymnasium last week but found little success against Biola. Beebe and the Eagles dropped just one set through the three matches to improve their overall record to 14-7 and conference mark to 10-3.

"Madison has been so incredibly consistent for us all year," said head coach Aaron Seltzer. "She had a phenomenal week playing some of her best ball all year. Her hard work and leadership is really making a difference for us. I am so proud of her!"

Beebe led the team in kills in all three contests last week, accumulating 39 kills. The star attacker saw action in nine sets to average 4.33 kills per set.

In addition to the volume, Beebe offered efficiency in her offense with a .366 hitting percentage on the week. The senior's best performance came on Friday against Hawaii Hilo. She posted a program-best in the NCAA DII era with 17 kills in three sets, while notching a .469 hitting percentage.

The Eagles will return to the court inside Chase Gymnasium on Thursday with a doubleheader against Dominican beginning at 5:00 pm.
