SPOKANE, Wash. --- Anna Boyer was willing to invest the time and effort required to pursue the opportunity that would fit her best as a college student and soccer player. And seeing all that diligence actually lead to the realization of her goal makes signing with Biola Women's Soccer all the sweeter for her. 

Boyer became well-acquainted with Biola and its women's soccer program during camps and visits to campus over the past 12 months and only became more eager about the opportunity as she continued to learn about what Biola had to offer. Suffice to say, the Washington-native is extremely excited to pursue a kinesiology degree at a Christian university in Southern California while joining a tight-knit group of new teammates as a goalkeeper. 

"I chose Biola because I loved the people, the area and everything about the school," added Boyer.

A graduate of Mt. Spokane High School, Boyer garnered All-Greater Spokane League recognition this past season after the Wildcats posted five clean sheets and 10 victories on their way to a second-straight appearance in district playoffs. Boyer earned two Mt. Spokane High Athlete of the Week honors during that run and helped her team continue its trend of dominance at home. 

The Wildcats went 20-6-3 on their own pitch between Boyer's sophomore to senior campaigns according to MaxPreps.com and built on that success to make two appearances in Washington's 3A Girls Soccer State Championship. 

Boyer's athleticism also extended to gymnastics and track at MSHS, resulting in her being one of three women to receive a Triple Crown award for competing in three varsity sports during the 2017-18 academic year. She also has honor roll distinction and National Honors Society membership on her academic resume and is getting ahead of the game by taking a few Biola summer courses over the next few weeks.
