Today's battle pits Biola Swim & Dive against Biola Women's Soccer. For Biola Swim & Dive it's all about the historic postseason run at the PCSC Championships and NCAA Division II national championship meet. For women's soccer it's the big come-from-behind victory at Fresno Pacific to close out the regular season and give the team it's first road win in Fresno in over a decade.

Postseason Poise:Â
2019-20 was perhaps the best season in Biola Swim and Dive history. It saw a pair of program-best finishes at the PCSC Conference meet ANDÂ
Katelyn Harper made history as the first-ever individual qualifier for the NCAA Division II Championship meet. The season came down to a grueling four-day meet in LA that saw Biola come away with 13 new school records, a pair of podium finishes and a Cornerstone Cup WIN against Azusa Pacific. It was as close as it gets in the battle against APU, with the Eagles needing a win over the Cougars in the final relay of the meet in order to secure a higher place in the meet. It was event 41 of the week, and it took an inspired swim fromÂ
Kolya Vos,Â
Kasidee Pascoe,Â
Liza Parahnevich &Â
Kellynn Hayes to out-touch the Cougars by three seconds and lift Biola to its first-ever PCSC win over APU. Biola finished with 1,018 points on the women's side to place third, with APU's 1,017 points good enough for fourth. The third-place finish for the men and the women were new program-bests. For the season, this team saw 23 record-breaking swims to end with 16 brand new school records, including 13 set at the PCSC meet. Thanks toÂ
Katelyn Harper's work in the 400-IM, the swim & dive season continued AFTER the PCSC meet for the first time in the NCAA Division II era. The sophomore won the 400-IM title at the conference meet and had a time high enough nationally to clinch a trip to Geneva, Ohio to compete at the national championships. While there, she improves six spots from her seeding to finish 18th overall with a 4:27 flat. It was a season for the ages for Biola Swim & Dive, and they're just getting started.
Jamir Seals It:Â
For a team that is defined by a culture that like a tight-knit family, the end to the 2019 regular season couldn't have been more meaningful for Biola Women's Soccer. After falling behind two goals to none just nine minutes into the match at Fresno Pacific, the Eagles scored three unanswered goals and got a game-winner from All-PacWest midfielderÂ
Halie Jamir seven minutes into the first overtime. In the final match of the regular season, all three of Biola's goals were assisted by seniors.Â
Christine Goodman scored the first, with the goal coming on her birthday. It was the second score of her freshman season. Then senior captainÂ
Hali Oakes evened the match at 2-2 with a goal in the 56th minute. With the push to overtime,Â
Paula-Marie Labate made a great play in the penalty area to fend off defenders and hold the ball for Jamir's open look. The goal secured an 8-2-1 PacWest record for Biola Women's Soccer and gave the Eagles their first win in Fresno since 2004. Oakes' and Labate's heroics, along with assists fromÂ
Colie Martin and Sarah Jefferies, meant that the class of 13 seniors on coachÂ
Erin Brunelle's roster never lost a game in their careers where they scored two goals or more--a testament to the Eagles' incredible defense-first identity that was on display virtually all season long.
