ANTELOPE, Calif. --- After winning 43 matches over two successful seasons with the Sierra College, midfielder Frances Andrade had a definite sense of what type of school she wanted to attend next.

Understandably, Andrade was looking for a team that was driven to compete for conference championships and postseason play as she had with the Wolverine as a freshman and sophomore. But the Antelope, California-native also sought out the opportunity to transfer to a Christian university where she could continue to grow in her faith and develop her gifts with the intent of serving others.

The drive to pursue those two goals simultaneously led Andrade to join Biola Women's Soccer in the program's effort to work toward championships while also taking advantage of all the University offers to help students grow in their understanding of God and the Bible. 

"I chose Biola because I believe this is where God called me to be," said Andrade. "I'm extremely grateful to have the opportunity to play the sport I love, grow in my faith and obtain my business degree in my last two years of college. I'm also super excited to compete with the team on the field and to use our gifts to glorify him!"
 
Andrade will join Biola Women's Soccer for the Fall 2020 season after collecting six goals and eight assists across two years with Sierra College. As a sophomore, she started all 25 matches the Wolverines played in 2019 and also earned First Team Academic All Conference recognition.

And in 2018, Andrade was named to the Capital Valley All-Conference First Team in her final season at Antelope High School before winning a Big 8 Conference Championship with Sierra College in her first collegiate campaign. 
 
The junior intends to major in business administration at Biola and is interested in one day owning a company that exists to serve people in Jesus' name. More information on the incoming 2020-21 class that will join Andrade at Biola can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
