EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. --- Forward Sarah Freed made an immediate impact when she joined the Folsom Lake Falcons two seasons ago, scoring eight goals in her first five collegiate matches to help her team to a 4-0-1 record. 
 
The Falcons later advanced to two CCCAA NorCal Regional second rounds with Freed as the Northgate High School-alumni scored a total of 24 goals and 10 game-winners in just over 30 matches. The Biola Eagles will push toward similar postseason success with Freed on the roster and hope she'll continue to provide that scoring spark as she's committed to join Head Coach Erin Brunelle's roster beginning this Fall. 
 
"The door opened for me to play at Biola and I feel so excited and confident that it is where I'm supposed to be," said Freed. "God will continue to direct my path in all things including soccer, nursing and so much more regarding my future."
 
Folsom Lake College won 32 of its 47 matches with Freed on the roster and started this past season with a 10-0-2 record while scoring 42 goals in that span. The forward went onto earn all-league second team honors as a result of her 14-goal season and also recorded three-straight game winning goals two seperate times during her time at FLC.
 
Freed's resume also includes a Big 8 Player of the Week recognition and scholar-athlete honors after earning a 4.0 GPA. As Freed mentioned in her quote, she will apply to Biola's prestigious nursing program and hopes to eventually have a career as a pediatric nurse.
