LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Bursts of heavy rain pelted the Biola Tennis Center on Saturday morning and afternoon, canceling the women's and men's tennis matches the Eagles had scheduled against Sonoma State. 

Play was halted shortly after Colbeyshae Emery and Brooke Fager had taken a 2-1 lead on doubles court one for Biola. Biola's coaching staff prepared the courts to resume play at 1 p.m. but more rain called the matches off for the entire day. 

Neither match will be made up so the contests will be removed from Biola's schedules. 

Both the Eagles women's and men's tennis teams will return to the BTC to host Hope International on February 25.
