LA MIRADA, Calif. --- It's safe to say sophomore Larson Kindreich has been in midseason form through his first two starts of 2020, and that's made it extremely tough for opposing hitters to even make contact against the left-hander. 

Kindreich was named PacWest Pitcher of the Week for the second time in as many week on Monday after throwing seven more shutout innings and striking out 12 Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes last Friday. Kindreich allowed just two hits in his second start of the year, retired the last six batters he faced and struckout the last four. 

After two weeks, Kindreich is the conference leader in ERA (0.00), innings pitched (13) and strikeouts (20). He also ties Micah Beyer for most PacWest Pitcher of the Week honors in a season with his two awards. Beyer was named Pitcher of the Week on March 5 and April 2 of his senior year in 2018. 

Head Coach Jeff Calhoon's squad will play five games at Eagles Diamond as Biola closes out its early season schedule before going to Hawaii. Up first in the Colorado Christian Cougars, who will play the Eagles on Thursday at 2 p.m.
