2019 Biola Women's Soccer Schedule

Soccer Slate Is All Set

Biola Women's Soccer looks to make its first NCAA postseason.

July 19, 2019

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The 2019 Biola Women's Soccer schedule is all set with seven non-conference contests, 11 conference matches and a preseason schedule including two scrimmages and an exhibition.

Things get going on August 24 with a home scrimmage against Hope International, with the team's first countable contest slated for September 5 vs. CSU Los Angeles.

This season, Head Coach Erin Brunelle's non-conference slate includes a trip up north to face Seattle Pacific (Sept. 12) and Concordia Portland (Sept. 14) and games against Point Loma (Sept. 28) and Concordia Irvine (Oct. 2) that are both considered non-conference.

The non-conference slate includes three shared opponents with 2018's preseason schedule. Biola will have a second go-around against SPU (W, 1-0), CSU San Marcos (T, 1-1) and CSULA (L, 0-1).

PacWest Conference matches begin to count in early-October with Biola's Northern California road trip. The Eagles kick-off conference play at Holy Names on Oct. 10 and also have Dominican on the road Oct. 12.

Then, Biola has its chance to host NorCal school when Academy of Art (Oct. 17) and Notre Dame de Namur (Oct. 19) come to town for the Eagles' first home PacWest matches. The potential for a real strong start is there, with Biola going 3-1 against those first four schools during 2018.

October features six home matches, including hosting all three Hawaii schools between Oct. 26-31.

The first two weeks of November will be the integral part of the schedule with Biola playing at Azusa Pacific (Nov. 5), at Concordia Irvine (Nov. 7) and at home against Point Loma (Nov. 13). Those three schools finished 23-6-4 in PacWest Conference play last season. Point Loma won the conference with a sparkling 10-0-1 mark.

The regular season comes to a close Nov. 16 at Fresno Pacific. The 2019 campaign is Biola's first season eligible for NCAA postseason competition. The Eagles could find themselves in regional play Nov. 22-24 if they're able to finish near the top of the PacWest table.
