Signing Announcement for Chloe Chedester

Chedesters Reunite At Biola

Chloe Chedester will join her siblings Billy and Sami at Biola beginning this fall.

May 08, 2019

LEMOORE, Calif. --- Seemingly every sport at Biola has been blessed with a set or two of siblings that have left a lasting impact on the program over the years. And now a new name has been added to that long list of families with Chloe Chedester's commitment to Biola Women's Soccer.

Chloe follows twin sister Sami Chedester to Head Coach Erin Brunelle's roster after the siblings spent their first collegiate soccer season at Fresno State. Additionally, her commitment will bring all three of the Chedester triplets back to the same school as their brother Billy Chedester is also enrolled for the start of the coming fall semester.

"We are so excited to add another Chedester to our program! We heavily recruited Chloe out of high school, so we are very familiar with her potential," said Head Coach Erin Brunelle. "We know that she has gained valuable experience from her previous collegiate program and we are so thankful for their investment in her and the many ways she has developed as a player. Chloe brings an infectious and contagious joy for life in general, which bleeds over into her relationships with the Lord, with others, and with soccer."

Chloe made an immediate impact for Fresno State during her freshman season, starting four times and playing a total of 648 minutes in the 18 matches she appeared in. She sprinted to the end of a through-ball in the penalty box to score her first collegiate goal on Sept. 14 against UC Irvine and garnered national attention on Aug. 24 when her front-flip throw-in assisted a Bulldogs goal and went viral on Twitter.

Chedester's throw was viewed 484,000 times on Twitter and received almost 10,000 likes after it was included in the Sportscenter Top-10 on ESPN the next day. The play was also nominated for the Female Moment of the Year at the Fresno State Night of Champions awards banquet on May 1.

Chloe's strong start to her collegiate career came after a successful stint at Lemoore High School alongside Sami. During their senior season, the twins captained the Tigers to their best record and best CIF finish in four years while Chloe and Sami were involved in numerous extracurriculars. Just as a senior, Chloe was class president at Lemoore High and held elected positions for the Jesus Club and Fellowship at Christian Athletes.

Chloe also honed her scoring abilities in high school, earning two All-Yosemite League selections and her team's offensive player of the year award twice. She was selected to three Central Section All-Star games and added a strength to the attack that made her a sought-after prospect for the Eagles.

"Chloe is an explosive, powerful attacker, who will compliment the rest of our attackers well," added Brunelle. "Her athleticism and tireless work rate will push her teammates to step up their game in practice, and that will only help our team develop as well."

Chedester plans to major in public relations with a media relations concentration at Biola so she can go onto be a social media manager and run a family business. She was given an Academic Achievement Award all four years at Lemoore High, was an Academic All-Mountain West honoree this year, and hopes that the next few years at Biola will maximize her personal development:

"I am most excited to be surrounded by a Christian community and soccer team where I can grow in my faith and relationship with God," said Chedester. "My goal is to be a positive impact on and off the soccer field."

Chloe Chedester will join the Biola Eagles for their first season of NCAA postseason eligibility in 2019. More information about other incoming student-athletes can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
