LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Right-handed pitcher Brayden Englert was named PacWest Freshman of the Week for the second time this season on Monday after throwing seven innings against Fresno Pacific last Friday. 

After coming in to start the third inning on the mound, Englert carried the Eagles for the next 21 outs to an 11-5 victory by inducing a lot of week contact. Englert record eight groundouts and 11 flyouts over 90 pitches and didn't give up any walks for his second win of the year. His first win came on March 2 when Englert had a complete game win at Hawaii Hilo, a performance that also earned him conference Freshman of the Week honors.

The Eagles will stay home for their next conference series next week. Academy of Art will come to La Mirada for a four-game series that begins Thursday at 3 p.m.
