LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After several great days throughout the 2019 season, Jackson Collins and Larson Kindreich were finally recognized on Monday with conference weekly awards.

Collins was named PacWest Player of the Week after he became Biola's leading hitter for batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and homeruns whiler Kindreich picked up Freshman of the Week honors after tossing a one-hit shutout against Concordia to earn the Eagles' second win in Irvine.

This is the first weekly conference award for both student-athletes.

Collins hitting .500 in 16 at-bats this weekend, launching three homeruns and driving in eight RBI's uring the series at Concordia. He had three multi-hit games. He ended the series by driving in four runs in the series finale and reached base safely all four times he came to the plate (3-for-3, 2 HR, BB, 1B). The Watsonville, California-native has pushed himself into the top-five for homeruns in the PacWest with nine and will be fighting for the conference on-base crown going into the final week as he's just one percentage-point behind Thomas Delgadillo of Academy of Art for the best OBP of all PacWest batters.

Kindreich's stuff has been absolutely electric over the past two-plus weeks and he missed a lot of bats in Irvine during the series finale this past Saturday. The freshman fire-baller struck out nine and allowed just one hit in his seven-inning shutout victory over Concordia. He retired 16-straight batters from the second inning to the seventh and only had the streak break with a hit-by-pitch in the seventh with one out.

Kindreich ended the start by striking out the side and needed just 88 pitches to mow down the Concordia batters. He now has 19 strikeouts combined over his last two starts and is fourth overall in the PacWest with 67 punchies.

The Eagles will finish off the regular season this week when they host Hawaii Hilo for a midweek series. Game one will start on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
