LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The PacWest Conference Office named guard
Stephanie Lee Freshman of the Week on Monday for the third time in the first four weeks of the season after Lee helped the Biola complete its second half comeback against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday.
Lee scored all seven of her points in the second half, including five in the fourth quarter, and tied for the team lead in second-half rebounds with four to push the Eagles to their fourth-straight win along senior guard
Jelissa Puckett and company. The freshman nursing major is now averaging 8.7 points per game and is tied for second in the PacWest with 13 steals on the year.
She is the first Biola Eagle to earn three PacWest Freshman of the Week honors and is within striking distance of Cross Country runner Gabe Plendcio's mark for most PacWest weekly awards in a season. Plendcio was named Runner of the Week five times this past Fall season as Biola Men's Cross Country qualified for the NCAA National Championship Meet.
Biola Women's Basketball will now ride its four-game winning streak into the start of conference play, traveling to Notre Dame de Namur and Dominican for games on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday's tipoff in Belmont against Notre Dame de Namur is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
