UPLAND, Calif. --- Biola Softball and the Corona Angels club team have a long history together, highlighted most recently by names like Kylie Velasco and Bria and Brooke Madrid. Now its Allie Beck who adds to the lineage as the outfielder commits to join Head Coach Nikki Udria's Biola Softball team.

Beck plays her high school ball at Upland High School to go along with her six years of club ball with the Angels. She earned all-league first team honors with Upland in 2019 and was a second-team all-league player before that. 

"I chose Biola because it will help me grow in my faith, while playing the game that I love," said Beck. "Biola is close to home and I fell in love with it on my initial visit! I look forward to playing with a great group of girls and an amazing coaching staff."

Beck hit .347 during her junior season, scoring 16 runs after recording 33 hits for Upland, leading the team to a 20-8-3 overall record and 8-2 league mark. She hit .376, also in 29 games, during her freshman campaign scoring 30 times and driving in 16 others. Her team went 21-7-1 during her freshman campaign.

In addition to her love for softball, Beck has spent seven years as a Sunday school teacher at La Verne Heights Presbyterian Church and she enjoys going to the beach, cooking and spreading awareness about sustainability. 

Beck plans to major in communications and looks forward to a career path that will allow her to work with people.

She joins the 2021 roster for Udria, so keep an eye out for her during Biola Softball's second season as NCAA postseason eligible.
