Baseball Announces Marucci Partnership

Biola Baseball is pleased to announce that Marucci Sports will serve as the team’s official hard goods supplier.

November 06, 2019

BATON ROUGE, La. --- Biola Baseball and Marucci Sports announced a new partnership on Wednesday, making Marucci the team's official supplier of hard goods equipment for the Eagles.

Regarded as the No. 1 supplier of bats at the Major League level, Marucci will serve as Biola Baseball's source for baseball bats and customized gloves and batting gloves. The partnership makes Biola the first PacWest baseball program to sign with Marucci and gives the Eagles two elite equipment suppliers, as the team will continue to wear Adidas apparel.

"We are excited to join the Marucci family for baseball equipment," said Head Coach Jeff Calhoon. "The quality of equipment and quality support system Marucci and Justin Cryer have in place is second to none and Biola Baseball is proud to represent Marucci in our first season of full membership in NCAA Division II."

Marucci Sports was founded in 2004 by two former major leaguers and an athletic trainer who made handcrafted bats in Baton Rouge. Today Marucci supplies equipment to countless MLB players and partners with several high-caliber collegiate baseball and softball programs. Among others, three successful NCAA Division I programs have also agreed to partnerships with Marucci in the last few months: University of North Carolina Wilmington, Loyola Marymount and Georgia Tech all joined the Marucci family after each team qualified for NCAA Regionals in 2019.

Biola Baseball has its eyes set on qualifying for its own NCAA Regional in 2020. The Eagles will open the new season at home on January 31 against Cal State Monterey Bay.
