SALINAS, Calif. --- Head coach Aaron Seltzer secured a rare talent in Salinas, California native Allie Tillery, who recently signed to play opposite hitter for the Eagles. Tillery spent four years playing at Monte Vista Christian School and will add needed height and athleticism to Biola's roster as she is 6-feet-5-inches. 

While at Monte Vista Christian Tillery achieved a 4.2 GPA and captained her volleyball team her senior year. She also earned all-league second team honors both her sophomore and senior year for volleyball. 

"I chose Biola primarily because of the extraordinarily encouraging environment and people," said Tillery. "At Biola, I believe I will have the highest opportunity to become the best version of myself, both on and off the court."

In addition to playing volleyball during her high school career, Tillery's been involved with campus ministry and spends a lot of her time outdoors. She loves hiking, water sports and creating art.

Tillery plans to major in biology in the fall with hopes to become a wildlife biologist.
