Lee Earns PacWest Weekly Award

Guard Stephanie Lee was named the PacWest Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week on Monday.

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The PacWest Conference Office released the first set of weekly awards for the 2019-20 women's basketball season on Monday and recognized Biola's Stephanie Lee as the Freshman of the Week.

This is the first PacWest weekly award for Lee and the first for Biola Women's Basketball since DeMoria White was named player of the week two seasons ago (January 15, 2018)

Lee made five three-pointers across the first two games of the season for the Eagles and totaled 21 points. She also collected five assists while surrendering just three turnovers and recorded eight steals, placing her second on the conference leaderboard and helping Biola lead the PacWest in takeaways as a team.

Biola Women's Basketball will continue its season-opening homestand this week with two more games. The Eagles host Alaska Fairbanks on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
