LA MIRADA, Calif. --- With less than 100 days between the Biola Eagles and the 2020 baseball season opener, Head Coach Jeff Calhoon announced on Wednesday that the October 27 prospect camp has reached full capacity. There are still plenty of development opportunities available at Eagles Diamond over the next three months, including another prospect camp and a coaches clinic led by USA Baseball. 

Registration for the next prospect camp is open immediately at the Biola Baseball Camps landing page and the camp will take place on Sunday January 26, 2020. 

Like the camp taking place on October 27, the Winter Prospect Camp is intended for high schoolers to junior college sophomores who want to develop their skills and receive instructions from college coaches. While they take part in pro-style workouts and live-game situations on Eagles Diamond, campers will also learn all that Biola University and the Biola baseball program has to offer developing student-athletes.

Between now and the prospect camp at the end of January, the Eagles' coaching staff still has spots open for evening hitting and pitching camps that will start over the next two weeks and will still offer team camps on the weekend of November 16 to 17 and January 18 to 20. 

Team camps will be open to high school baseball teams looking to benefit from a weekend of round-robin games at a collegiate facility. Each team camp will have either four or six openings, affording each team three games over the camp, and a pro-style workout led by the Biola coaching staff on Saturday morning. Biola Baseball is also pleased to announce a partnership with USA Baseball to host a Community Coaches Clinic at Eagles' Diamond on November 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free clinic is open to adults over the age of 18, including coaches at any level of baseball, parents of players and baseball enthusiasts. The USA Baseball Sports Development website describes coaches clinics as "integral part of continuing education for coaches at any level. [Clinics] provide coaches with the opportunity to learn and grow by networking with local coaches while participating in on-field demonstrations."
