WEST COVINA, Calif. --- Madi Reeves and the backline she's played on with the SoCal Academy soccer club have been a force to be reckoned with for years now.

Having played with SoCal Academy for the past seven years, Reeves and has played on four league champion teams since 2015 and has won back-to-back Coast Soccer League Premier Championships with the G00 Chavez team after posting a combined record of 22-0-2 in 2016 and 2017. Reeves' team allowed just 14 goals in those 24 matches and her play over that time excited Head Coach Erin Brunelle about her potential fit in Biola's system.

"Madi is a speedy, feisty outside back who comes to us from a quality club team in SoCal Academy. She has tremendous pace over distance, which enables her to chase down attackers in the defensive end and also get forward into the attack," said Brunelle. "She is tough to beat one-v-one and transitions well once she wins the ball to be able to complete passes and help build the attack. Her strengths suit us well for the style of play we like to create and we look forward to her battling for time with our returning outside backs."

Reeves is currently a captain for a Bonita Bearcats squad that is just starting Palomares league play. She earned All-Palomares league recognition as a freshman for the Bearcats and also earned scholar-athlete recognition in 2016.

In her time away from the pitch, Reeves is a regular volunteer in the children's ministry at her church and enjoys singing and listening to music. When she enrolls at Biola this fall, Madi Reeves will join her brother Henry Reeves, who started eight matches and played 950 minutes for Head Coach Todd Elkins' men's soccer team in 2018. She plans to major in kinesiology and hopes to have a career as a physical therapist in professional sports in the future.

"I am so excited to make new relationships at Biola," said Reeves. I'm also looking forward to pursuing my degree and continuing my soccer career at a university where Christ is the center of everything."
