The Eagles will look for their first road win of the season when they travel south to face a CSU San Marcos team they defeated 2-0 at Al Barbour Field a year ago. The Eagles scored twice in a two-minute span while limiting the Cougars to just two shots on goal in that victory, improving their all-time record against CSUSM to 5-3-2 with a two-match winning streak. The Cougars have only scored one goal through their first two matches and are coming off an 0-2 loss to Biola's former conference peer Dixie State this past Saturday. CSU San Marcos was chosen sixth in the 13-team CCAA in the preseason coaches' poll and made its first conference tournament appearance a year ago with an 8-7-3 record. The Cougars have yet to play a match on the road this season and managed only seven shots in their lone victory.

CSU Monterey Bay will open up its home schedule with Biola on Saturday after a week-long layoff. The Otters went 1-1 in a trip to Nampa, Idaho to face Northwest Nazarene and Minnesota-Crookston and have also scored just one goal through two matches. Their trip ended up being a tale of two completely different matches, as the Otters had two weather 11 shots-on-goal in their 1-0 loss to Northwest Nazarene before allowing one shot total and taking 15-shots-on-goal for themselves in their 1-0 win over Minnesota-Crookston. The Otters were tabbed to finish 10th in the CCAA in this year's preseason coaches' poll and went 5-9-4 a year ago.

ALVAREZ AWARDED:
Junior forward Annmarie Alvarez was named PacWest Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday after leading the conference in goals and points through the first week of the season. The Los Alamitos, California native was the only PacWest women's soccer student-athlete to score two goals during the first week and delivered them both during Biola's overtime victory over CSU Dominguez Hills. She is the first Biola Women's Soccer student-athlete to earn PacWest Player of the Week honors and now has 10 career goals.
