VISALIA, Calif. --- After spending her first two years of college at CSU Monterey Bay, Taylor Stainbrook has made the decision to leave the Otters and join the Eagles as the newest member of Head Coach Aaron Seltzer's Biola Volleyball team.

Stainbrook comes to Biola with two years of eligibility left after appearing in 11 matches over the past two seasons at CSUMB. In her six appearances in 2017 Stainbrook compiled 10 kills, hit over .300 and added a block. One of her appearances came in CSUMB's match against Biola at the NCAA Division II West Region Crossover Tournament. 

"I felt welcomed into the program the second I stepped on campus and felt that Biola was a place I fit in and could make an impact," said Stainbrook. "I am so excited to play volleyball as an Eagle and grow my faith."

Prior to CSUMB, Stainbrook played at Golden West High School in her hometown of Visalia, California. Visalia should ring some bells with Biola Volleyball fans as it was also the hometown of Biola Hall of Famer, Amy Weststeyn. 

While with the Trailblazers, Stainbrook played four varsity season and was twice named the team's MVP. She was also honored as the 2015 West Yosemite League MVP. Stainbrook graduated in 2016 with four years of Principal's Honor Roll achievements and as a member of the California Scholarship Federation. 

Her tradition of academic success continued during her time with the Otters, as she was honored in 2017 with a California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic Selection. 

Stainbrook's older brother, Troy Stainbrook, is a standout starting pitcher on Biola's baseball team. Keep an eye out for Taylor on the court as she begins her Biola career this fall. The Eagles' season begins on the road on August 24. Their first home match of the year is also the 2018 PacWest Conference opener as BU hosts Fresno Pacific on Saturday, Sept. 8.
