June 08, 2018

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Baseball hauled in another set of awards on Friday morning, as the NCCAA recognized four Eagles on its list of All-Americans.

Micah Beyer, Ryan Gallegos, Daniel Jang and Colton Worthington all earned All-American Third Team honors after they and their teammates worked their way to the NCCAA World Series semifinals. All four of the honorees were named First Team All-West Region while the senior Worthington appeared on the NCCAA World Series All-Tournament Team after Worthington hit .364 in the tournament with a homer, five RBI's and a game-winning double against Southwestern Christian University.

The four All-American awards complete a very large set of on-field recognitions for Head Coach Jay Sullenger's 2018 roster. In addition to the four NCCAA All-American nods, the Eagles earned 16 other awards for their play this seasons: they had nine NCCAA All-West Region players, six All-PacWest selections and an ABCA/Rawlings NCAA DII All-American with Daniel Jang's Third Team recognition.

Biola was also very successful in the classroom during its first season of NCCAA membership, collecting 35 scholar-athlete honors and three scholar team awards (Men's Golf, Women's Track & Field, Women's Tennis).
