LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The coaching staff for Biola Volleyball has finalized dates for three skills camps to be hosted at Chase Gymnasium this summer.
Separate camps will be offered for three age groups: a youth camp for fourth through eighth graders beginning June 18, a high school camp for freshmen and sophomores beginning July 16, and an overnight prospect camp for high schoolers beginning July 20. All campers will receive a Biola Volleyball t-shirt for attending the camp and are encouraged to bring any and all equipment they would typically bring to a volleyball practice, including a water bottle and knee pads.
The youth camp includes drills and instruction that cater to the beginning and experienced volleyball player. Athletes will be taught by Biola coaches and current student-athletes from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 18 through June 20 and parents are encouraged to watch the camp from the balcony in Chase Gym.
Four weeks later, the Eagles will host high school players interested in developing their fundamental volleyball skills and learning about a typical college practice experience. The high school skills camp lasts from July 16 through July 18 and concludes with a two-part tournament day beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Lastly, the prospect camp will be an overnight experience from July 20-21 targeted at advanced volleyball players who want to take steps toward playing at the collegiate level and desire high-level instruction from Biola's coaching staff. Attendees will get a glimpse of the Eagles' volleyball program through campus meals, group activities and a stay in Biola's dorms.
