No. 3-ranked Biola takes on No. 7 University of Saint Katherine on Saturday to determine the automatic qualifier from the West Region.

May 11, 2018

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Biola baseball program will return to postseason play at the national level for the first time since 2012 when the Eagles host the University of Saint Katherine Firebirds in the NCCAA West Regional Championship at 1:00 p.m.

The winner of Saturday's contest will earn the automatic bid from the West Region into the NCCAA Baseball World Series in Easley, South Carolina beginning on May 23. The Eagles and Firebirds both find themselves in the top-10 of the NCCAA power rankings, so there is a good chance that the team that does not earn the automatic bid will be chosen as an at-large team for the national championship.

Biola will be charging normal admission prices on Saturday, $6 for general admission and $4 for seniors and teen admissions. Biola students, staff and faculty enter for free with their Biola ID.

Fans are also encouraged to enter campus via La Mirada Blvd and park under the soccer field or in the parking structure adjacent to the field. Biola Campus Safety and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department will be conducting an active-shooter training near the campus' Biola Ave entrance in the hours leading up to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Fans unable to attend will be able to follow the action on Biola live stats page and on Biola's live broadcast portal. Regular updates will also be provided on the Biola Athletics Twitter account and Instagram story.
