LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Ryan Gallegos collected his second PacWest Freshman of the Week Award on Monday after hitting a homerun on three consecutive days in a series against Dixie State last week.

The freshman outfielder collected 10 RBI over the four-game set with the Trailblazers and became the Eagles' leader for homeruns (eight) and RBI (46) in the process. He pushed his hitting streak to a career-best nine games and got five of his six hits on the weekend to go for extra bases.

With eight games left to play in the regular season, Gallegos is the only PacWest freshman whose name appears on the top-10 leaderboard for both doubles and homeruns. He and the Eagles have their final home series coming this week, as the Azusa Pacific Cougars come to La Mirada for a four-game set beginning Thursday. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
