$10k Matching Gift Opportunity

Please consider supporting Biola Track & Field with a gift.

March 19, 2018

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Eagles Athletic Association is pleased to announce a $10,000 matching gift opportunity in support of the Biola Track & Field programs. A generous supporter has come forward and offered to match gifts to the program, up to $10,000 with a giving deadline of Wednesday, March 21.

All funds raised will go towards the Track & Field operations budget to aid the program in providing the best possible student-athlete experience. Please consider supporting in any way you can in order to make an impact on the experience of the 58 track & field student-athletes.

If you are interested in making a donation, please visit this link and select either men's or women's track operations from the dropdown menu. See below for some of the student-athletes' thoughts about their Biola experience.

Please email any questions or comments to Kevin Royse, Director of Eagles Athletic Association, at kevin.royse@biola.edu.

All donations given before the giving deadline of March 21 will be matched. Thank you for your consideration.

Emily Ransom - Junior
"Biola has had a great impact on my life the past three years. I have been pushed and challenged to grow in my faith, which has changed the way that I approach my studies, relationships and lifestyle. Running for Biola has played a big role in my time here as well. The community that I have, and the inspiration I feel every day because of my teammates has helped me through the highs and lows of each season. If it weren't for running I would not be able to afford a great education and the atmosphere Biola provides. Having support from athletic scholarships has allowed me to be a part of this great community. Thank you for helping me reach my goals both on and off the track!"

Ryan St. Pierre - Freshman
"Receiving an athletic scholarship has done more for me than I could describe. Without it I would not be able to be at a school receiving a Biblically centered education. It motivates me to work hard and give my all for my teammates every day and reminds me to pray that I can be a good steward of the talent and money God has given to me. I want to glorify the Lord through my sport and I know of no better place to do that than at Biola. I'm so blessed to be on this team and thankful that God has used this university to allow me to run for Him!!"

Nathaniel Belden - Sophomore
"A scholarship is what allows me to come here. I had plans of attending a different university until scholarship there fell through, forcing me to consider other schools. Without my Biola scholarship, I would have to transfer secular state school."
