LA MIRADA, Calif. --- DeMoria White was named to the All-PacWest First Team on Monday after she led the Biola Eagles to a winning conference record during their first season in the PacWest.

This is the third all-conference award for White after she received All-GSAC honors during her sophomore and junior seasons. She is the third student-athlete at Biola to earn All-PacWest First Team honors this year, following Sammy McKay of men's soccer and Tess Van Grouw of volleyball.

"Mori is one of the smartest players to come through Biola," said Head Coach Alan Nakamura. "She is a committed Christian, a serious student, and has wise perspective. On the court she uses her high Basketball IQ to organize the team at both ends of the floor. Mori is a hard-working achiever and graduates as one of the most accomplished players in Biola Women's Basketball history."

White finished as the second-leading scorer in the conference with 18.9 points per game and was the best three-point shooter in the PacWest. She had the conference's best shooting percentage from beyond the arc at .426 and averaged the most three-point field goals per game with 3.5.

She set a new career high with 35 points against the Point Loma Sea Lions on Feb. 15 and nearly broke the program record for made threes in a single game when she drained 10 treys against Academy of Art of Jan. 28.

White had three 30-point games this season and scored 20 or more in 14 of the Eagles' 26 contests. This season she also climbed into sixth place in Biola's career scoring list with 1,631 points and became the program's all-time leader for made three-pointers in a career with 241.

White will graduate with a bachelor's in kinesiology while the Eagles will shortly begin preparations for next season in an attempt to build on an encouraging first season in the PacWest.
