LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Swim & Dive completed its historic run through the 2018 Pacific Collegiate Swimming & Diving Conference Championships on Saturday. It was just as fantastic a day as the first three as the Eagles got three new school records, one more individual champion and a Co-Swimmer of the Meet award-winner.

Lisa Tixier is that Co-Swimmer of the Meet award- winner. She tied with Laura Fornshell of Fresno Pacific for the most points of an female swimmer at the meet.

Fornshell set a meet record in the 1,000-freestyle, which means she may get the plaque when all is said and done, but Tixier had the much more challenging meet, having to win three of the most difficult events on the docket (50-free, 100-free, 100-fly).

Tixier capped off her meet with an individual win in the 100-freestyle today (:50.03), and she also helped lift the team to a fifth-place finish and new school record in the 400-freestyle relay (3:29.25).

Head Coach Ryan Kauth knew it was Tixier's final event swimming for the BU and had her lead-off the relay to give her one last shot at improving the school's 100-freestyle record, which she already held. She did not disappoint, speeding to an incredible 49.63 in her split to add her final signature to the Eagles' record books.

Swimming in the 400-freestyle relay with Tixier was Emily Silzel (:51.76), Bethany Harper (:54.27) and the anchor, Rachel Stinchcomb (:53.59).

The other record that fell on this final day of swims was the men's 200-breaststroke. After narrowly missing out on the 100-breaststroke a few nights ago, Raymond Kam wrote his name in the books with a fifth-place swim of 2:08.14. He broke Chad LeJeune's 2014 record of 2:09.52.

Kam was also a part of the men's 400-freestyle relay, which put as big of an exclamation point on the end of the meet as the women's side did. Kam, Matthew Roe, Brixton Barron and Tom Franicevich swam a 3:12.57 to finish fourth overall in the event.

Franicevich had one of the team's best individual finishes as he claimed fourth-place in the 100-freestyle, blazing his way to a :46.16.

Another exciting race for the gentlemen was the 200-butterfly. Andrew Homes' 2:03.29 paced a group of three Eagles who placed inside of the top-15 in that one. The other two were Noah Reed (13th - 2:07.15) and Eric Nimmo (14th - 2:18.83).

Sammy Dammann had a nice final day for the Eagles. The senior went 2:09.80 in the 200-butterfly to finish 12th. Silzel was another lady to have herself a fine day in an individual event also, finishing 10th in the 200-breaststroke (2:23.74).

Biola's 2017-18 season comes to a close after this exciting final day of competition. It was a great ride as the women's team placed 8th overall (506 pts) and the men finished fifth (619).

Kauth has expressed great excitement about what the future holds for his program, thanks in part to a very talented incoming recruiting class that's already hitting times that would send them to NCAA Division II nationals.

The Eagles will have one more probationary season (2018-19) where they can only compete at the PCSC Championships for postseason competition, but (as long as all goes well in the transition) the team is stacking up to be primed and ready to make a big splash in its first postseason eligible year in 2019-20.
