SPOKANE, Wash. --- In order to be competitive in the current landscape of collegiate women's basketball six-foot players like Jordan Rabe cannot compromise on versatility.

After playing the dual role of guard and forward for Northwest Christian School in Colbert, Washington for four varsity seasons, Rabe has committed to join the Biola Eagles and the number of forward who can score from beyond the arc and in the post when she enrolls in Fall 2019.

One of the most impressive things about Rabe is that her versatility extends beyond the hardwood. Sure, Rabe picked up a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the first game of her senior season with the Crusaders on December 4. But Rabe has also excelled as a softball and volleyball player at Northwest Christian, going to state championships in the 2B division in both of those sports.

Rabe excelled on the softball field particularly, earning all-league recognition each of the last three seasons and leading the Crusaders in batting average and homeruns in 2018 as the team went undefeated to win the 2B State Championship. She's played travel ball in that sport since she was nine but has also played with the Spokane Legacy club basketball team over the past two years to also invest in her basketball skills.

In the end it was the opportunity to play basketball in a competitive setting while being in Biola's Christian environment that sealed the deal for Rabe to pick the move to Southern California.

"I chose Biola because it combines high level basketball with great academics and a Christian environment. I also really loved the atmosphere and sense of community on campus. All this combined with great coaches and players made Biola a perfect fit for me," said Rabe. "I am really looking forward to playing with and learning from skilled teammates and coaches and I can't wait to make Southern California my home!"

The Spokane, Washington-native plans to major in mathematics when she starts classes next fall and hopes to be a lawyer and actuary. As her career plans allude to, Rabe is a great student. She's a member of the National Honors Society and NSHSS while also earning four academic letters and four teacher's awards.

Rabe will join the Eagles for their first season of PacWest-Tournament and NCAA-postseason eligibility in 2019-20. More information about other incoming student-athletes can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
