LADERA RANCH, Calif. --- Raegan Tjepkema laid the foundation for a great high school career with hard work from her first season on campus at Tesoro High School. Biola Volleyball's newest middle blocker went from winning most improved on her school's junior varsity team in 2015 to being the varsity team's MVP and an all-league first team winner as a senior in 2018.

The work ethic and continual growth she evidenced throughout her high school career will serve her well as she adjusts to the college game and the high expectations when it comes to volleyball at Biola.

Tjepkema led her team to 48 wins in her three varsity seasons at Tesoro. During her first varsity season, she earned all-league honorable mention honors, but then by the time she was a senior and a leader in the program it was clear she was among the best of the best in the Sea View league. She earned all-league first team honors after leading her team to a 16-12 season and a 7-2 mark in league play and an appearance in the CIF-SS tournament.

"I chose Biola because of its amazing Christian community and when I first visited it felt like I really belonged at Biola," said Tjepkema.

Tjepkema will join the team this summer and look to push the team to its first PacWest Championship in fall 2019.
