ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. --- Biola Volleyball has signed the 2018 Orange Lutheran High School winner of the Wendy's High School Heisman award, Dani Bryant. Bryant put together an amazing senior season, leading the team in kills, hitting percentage and blocks to earn the national recognition.

The Wendy's High School Heisman program has honored more than 600,000 high school seniors who share Wendy's values of giving back to the community, treating people with respect and excelling on the athletic field.

Bryant most definitely excels in the athletic field. She comes to Biola after earning all-conference honors twice during her time a OLHS. She twice led her teams to CIF-SS Championships (once in volleyball and once in basketball) and earned five varsity letters from the Lancers. She's one of just five student-athletes in OLHS history to win CIF-SS titles in two different sports.

She captained the volleyball team this past season and helped the team to 18 wins. She helped the Lancers win the CIF-SS title in 2017 with a 3-1 tournament win over Santiago High School. The Lancers won 25-21 in the final set, with a block from Bryant sealing the match and the championship.

In addition to her accolades and achievements on the court, Bryant has been a stellar student throughout her time at OLHS. She's been on honor roll all semester, is an AP Scholar with honors, a member of National Honors Society and a California Scholarship Federation member. She plans to study kinesiology at Biola and go on to a career in occupational therapy.

Bryant is a leader on her campus, serving on student leadership and serving as a member of the executive board on the Abassadors team. She played also played club volleyball at Goldenwest VB Club for five years and played USA Junior Volleyball Championships.

"I chose Biola because of the Christian atmosphere and the welcoming coaches and teammates," said Bryant. "I am excited to get in the gym and continue working on my craft with my new team...oh and be PacWest champs this oncoming year."

Bryant will join the team late this summer and be ready to play games for the Eagles starting in September. Catch her in Chase Gym as Biola looks to move from second to first in the PacWest and make a run at a NCAA Division II National Tournament appearance for the first time.
